Serving clients across Western Canada, Vanessa brings more than 20 years of experience in corporate insolvency, restructuring and turnaround matters. A Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional and Licensed Insolvency Trustee, Vanessa acts in a variety of corporate insolvency engagements, including bankruptcies, proposals, private and Court-appointed receiverships, proceedings under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act and Chapter 15 proceedings. Vanessa also conducts comprehensive business reviews and monitoring mandates for organizations facing financial or operational challenges.

Vanessa has worked with businesses across a wide range of industries including real estate, not-for-profit, seniors’ care facilities, oil and gas, retail/ wholesale, manufacturing, professional services, hospitality, gaming, and indigenous enterprises. 

Vanessa is known for her practical, empathetic, and solutions-focused approach and her ability to bring clarity to challenging circumstances. She works closely with both lenders and business owners experiencing financial pressure to clarify the options and develop a clear path forward.
